It has 2 pipes going into it, some wiring to the pcb and a small gas pipe that outputs the pilot gas. If this is the correct device, then looks like 2 ports... is this also called a gas valve ?
fyi. This was replaced about a year ago for a different problem. The make is called Tandem.
EDIT...
Hi, I have a Gloworm Ultimate 50FF boiler that likes to cause trouble at least once a year. This years' teaser is that when I select Hot Water, it doesn't heat the water, but instead heats the radiators. Also if I turn the thermostat that controls the radiators to minimum, the radiators still...
Hi, The main fuse (trip switch) in my house blows when the cenral heating comes on. I'm thinking it might be the CH pump at fault. I noticed the pump is wet too. Looks like a small leak somewhere.
Do I need a new pump or somehow fix the leak ? What pump is recommended for a typical 2 story...
I tried a new masonry bit on them but it took ages to drill and chipped he tiles around the hole quite badly. Another trip to B&Q for a Bosch Multi Purpose bit (diamond in the tip) and that went through them like a knife through butter.
Job done.. and yes those tiles do look nice.
Cheers.
I need to fix a stainless steel radiator to a plasterboard wall that's got Travertine stone tiles. What fixings should I use and drill bit diameter ?
Thanks
I hope somone can advise me.
I have to finish off a shower room ceiling but one of the of the spotlight holes (72mm diameter) was badly positioned (next to a wooden joist). The result is that I've had to move the 72mm holes into a free postition - the centre of the new hole is about 20mm away...
Hi can someone recommend LV Halogens spots (polished chrome) that can be used above a shower and the rest of the ensuite room. I think I'll need 4 or 5 spots.
thanks in advance.
The fuse blowing got a bit weird. After I changed the electrode it stopped blowing the fuse. Then Engineer #1 unbolted the ignition head assembly from the boiler, switched on and the fuse blew again. Once Engineer #2 changed the GV, the fuse didn't blow whether the ignition head was bolted down...
Hi Guys, apologies for not posting earlier but I eventually got it fixed after changing half the parts ;)
I changed the PCB and then the Electrode myself - no joy. A Heating Engineer (and Glowworm tech) suggested it was the gas valve so I arranged to get that replaced but that didn't fix it...
gasgeezer - the pilot stays on but the fuse blows after about 10 -15 seconds of constant ignition so then it all goes out. If I switch off teh power after about 5 ignition clicks, this prevent the fuse from blowing and can retry the procedure (this hasn't help fix anything mind you)

Hi, I really hope you guys can help me out.
I have this Glowworm Ultimate 50FF boiler. The pilot ignition keeps sparking even after the pilot light comes on. The fuse then blows on the PCB after about 10 seconds.
I've just received and fitted a new PCB today and the problem is still...
