not really answered my question there bernard. im in a work shop, its fully equiped and we deal with sound equipment on a regular basis and its a repair that a qualified engineer is considering taking on himself instead of using an external engineer. depending on the value of the CD...

I doubt you'll be able to access all the BS7671 info on the net for free. due to the fact that the OSG and the Regs which have the tables etc in are £15 and £50 respectivly to buy...so why would they give away the infor on the net for free? folk would find it, print it and save £65 on books...

i have a small piece of software that converts the video format to ASF (which is what the player wil accept. if i convert the contents of a DVD to ASF format and then store it onto the SD card, will i be ready to go? if so...what sized SD are we looking at ? 4GB? considering a DVD disk holds...

in a nutshell yes! basically, i want the to be able to put the dvd in my pc disk drive and put it onto my SD card. i want it done one of two ways...either the easiest way with the size of the SD card needed or the best way (compression etc) with size of SD...hope i make sense!
