Cleaning lead and old stained window

Hi, I have a 100 year old stained window from Mock Tudor period, probably the 1st ones, it's a leaded window stained and only a few remain in tact in my area. I have removed the window to refurbish. Anyone know how to clean the lead and the old stained glass?

Paint spots prior to staining stairs

Hi all, I've sanded and removed almost all the old paint from my stairwell, but there are just some small spots I can't remove as too deep in the wood and hard to get areas where a sander is not possible and heat gun or liquid stripper just doesn't remove them. I want to stain the stairs and...

Refurbishing 100 years old timber staircase

I removed all the nails I put in very gently and brought some Reisser screws from Toolstation, this worked wonders, after drilling in the gaps are closed even more, some are flush now. I've started downstairs today, 2 steps and it's the bottom 2 steps where the biggest gaps are, see attached 2 photos. Not finished sanding yet TBH looking at the grain and knots with condition of the timber wood, I want a dark as colour as possible as a lighter or medium colour will not like...

    Greenhouse glazing fitting problems

Hi John, thanks I will check. Quiet interesting I measured early on when the frame was complete diagonally both ways but I had to make an adjustment during the process maybe this was the issue. I will remove the one roof glaze still up there and then remove the frame and check.
