    Shower Pump Problem

Just to follow up the non-return valve solved the problem for me.

    Shower Pump Problem

Hi, thanks for your reply. I appreciate that it isn't best practice and in hindsight I would do it differently. However, as I now have the problem, would a non-return valve on the hot outlet from the pump fix the issue? I really would rather not touch the cylinder if at all possible. My...

    Shower Pump Problem

Hi all, I am currently in the midst of my bathroom replacement and I have come across a problem that I hope you can help me with. I have installed a new Grundfos Amazon STP-2.0 B regenerative pump. I have a traditional gravity fed system. I have tested the system before I close up and all is...

    Vertical Radiator Issues

Hi just to update. All seems sorted now. Gave it another go with all the other rads off and return valve a bit closed and upped the speed of the pump. Heard a rushing sound and all seems fine now. Thanks for your help guys!

    Vertical Radiator Issues

I can only assume it is. As it has worked fine for the almost 2 years until it was installed up until the new pump was fitted I don't know if this makes any odds but the system was drained from the valve on this radiator

    Vertical Radiator Issues

Thanks. I have now tried turning off the other rads to temporarily increase the flow the rad. It hasn't really made a difference. The flow and return pipes are both scalding hot but the rad won't heat up properly.

    Vertical Radiator Issues

Hi, Yes f&e on loft. Pump does have variable speed. Currently set on 2. Old pump (same pump - grundfos 15-60) was on 3. Yes other lockshields were changed. Plumber said he 'balanced the system' which I think consisted of randomly turning some lockshields.

    Vertical Radiator Issues

Hi, I've just had my central heating pump changed and ever since my 10 bar vertical rad hasn't been working correctly. It has worked fine in the past. I'm confident it is bled correctly and doesn't have any air. It's seems to get hot at the top half and also the first 2 bars from the flow side...

    Cant get stump out

I'm afraid to get it out you'll have to dig around it IMO.

    Cant get stump out

Done quite a lot of this recently in my garden project. Only thing you need is a mattock and a spade. Keep digging right around the stump with the mattock, breaking the roots you expose as you do. Use the spade to clear the soil once loose. Keep going until you can almost get right under the...

    Laying sawn mint sandstone patio

Hi, Hope you guys can help me on a little issue I have at the moment. I am attempting to lay sawn mint sandstone paving. I am using a 7-1 ratio of sharp sand and cement, not too wet, just so it clumps together in a ball. I am using a full bed and not spot bedding. This is what my research has...

Problem - Lights not working upstairs

Evening all, I am currently doing a kitchen project and moved a light position by about a foot earlier. When we have reconnected it something seems to have gone wrong as the lights upstairs no longer work (all lights downstairs work). I have attached some pics of various angles....can someone...

    RGB LED Strip Light Query

Thanks very much mate. Yeah I think you are right about keeping them on and control with the phone. I guess I could change the current single gang switch to a double, and wire the leds back to the switch. That would mean I could leave them on but turn them off if required? Thanks.
