latex slc depth over underfloor heating

Thanks for your reply. I was advised by my tiler that I did not need insulation boards. Since the base is slab, I do wonder whether 6mm of insulation board would help.

latex slc depth over underfloor heating

Just planning the electric underfloor heating install for the kitchen. Looks like it is going straight onto concrete slab, with suitable primer adhesive, then 10-12 mm of latex slc over it to get to the level of the other rooms. Is this sensible to have such a depth? Thanks.

    WARM FLAT ROOF CONSTRUCTION

It seems plausible. Perhaps insulation boards (such as cellotex) is what he is referring to. Best to have a professional in with roofing, and have them provide a guarantee. I've had one of these Rhepanol roofing (single ply) materials installed on my extension, and am pleased with it. In their...

    Light pipe in chimney flue

Thank you for the replies. Seems as though it won't fit. We will consider a route alongside the chimney. When I've seen sun tubes fitted, they seem affective.

    Light pipe in chimney flue

We're extending our house and at the same time taking out the back boiler, putting a new combi in the loft. My wife and I don't care to have any sort of fire, we were thinking it would just be a cupboard - with a little vent to keep the chimney from getting damp. However, we just had an idea...

polystyrene beads and electrical cable twin and earth

Did you see my photos? The junction boxes are going to be beneath the floorboards. There are junction boxes all over my house, so I don't see how a few more is going to change anything.

polystyrene beads and electrical cable twin and earth

So I've had my electrician in and he has put all new cable into the consumer unit, except the main feed and earth to the consumer unit which were fine. The new cables go in a short way, then they go to junction boxes. Remembering that above my consumer unit where all the cables came out was...

polystyrene beads and electrical cable twin and earth

Thanks for all of your comments. I have my electrician coming on the 23rd to replace all those ugly looking cables. On the ones that come out, I'll try the solvent on them before binning them and post back to this forum. Where the cable has landed on a sheet of polystyrene (above posting) I...

polystyrene beads and electrical cable twin and earth

Last year I had a new consumer unit fitted in the downstairs hall by my electrician. He also installed some other lighting, checked all the sockets, and checked some work I did before certifying all of the work. This year I'm about to fit new wood laminate floor to the upstairs hall. I had a...
