Trying to source a barrel clamp(??) end piece

Yes! Something like this is perfect, maybe with smaller diameter threaded bars. Are they available as ends on their own though? Can't find anywhere who sells them. What are they actually called because they're not just for saunas?

Trying to source a barrel clamp(??) end piece

Hi, I need to source this type of connecting/clamp in stainless steel. I assumed it was called a barrel clamp so searched and only full hose clamps come up. What would the official name of such a piece of hardware be called, all I need is the end pieces to fasten to a strap on both ends so the...

Do previous damp stains still give a positive damp reading?

Hey Woody thanks for your info there. But if surface condensation is what the meter is reading, how come areas where there are no stains is reading zero or 1%? It's only the stained or damp damaged ares which read anything from 15 - 38% from what I've discovered. Is that just reading the salts...

Do previous damp stains still give a positive damp reading?

We have a sea front Victorian property which had damp from poor guttering and chimney flashing. The chimney was removed down to the tray and rebuilt as part of a restoration grant 12 years ago and I applied stain block and repainted the huge D shaped damp stain area. But after 5 or 6 years the...

White Victorian woodwork yellowing after time

I have a Victorian home and notice the woodwork, much more so on the pitched pine doors and windows/frames is nowhere near the brilliant white it was at the time of application. Research online says it's the light which eventually turns white paints yellow but some of the non pitch pine...

What is this type of rawl plug called

I've been fitting shutters and blinds for 20 years - old houses have crumbly walls and often the hole becomes larger than the bit size so the serrated teeth type are brilliant as they hammer in nice and tight whereas the proper sized normal style will not grip.... simple as that!

What is this type of rawl plug called

Because they'\re crap - spin round. The serrated teeth ones are bliss to use.

Dual power (12v & 240v) for caravan light

Hi, I wish to fit 12v LED lighting in a caravan but have it so it'll work off the mains hook up but also off my leisure battery. Being that the LED's are already 12v, do I just need n adapter to unplug from a 240 plug and connecting to the battery?
