    Kerosene space heater problem

I have a Dirty Pro Tools 30KW Kerosene space heater - practically un-used but out of warranty. The circuit board BGO1601-125 seems common to lots of Brand Names. See picture Last time I went to use it although the temperature LED display lit and showed the correct ambient the LED lamp above the...

    73mm / 2 7/8" corrugation in pvc

Now that I have got my eye in with your help - I see it's Wickes that are out of step - only offering 3" iron profile whereas the 72mm is actually more normal in cement sheets - I'm off with an inch tape to check whats around locally.

Many thanks - Is that profile exclusive to Steadmans? or may there be other compatible suppliers or designations?

    73mm / 2 7/8" corrugation in pvc

I have a large shed - ex deep litter harlow shed - which has cement sheeting on the roof with about 8 corrugations per 23" - or about 73mm - or 2 7/8" I used to find in Wickes a PVC sheet with the same corrugation which was great to replace the old fan outlets with a rooflight instead - also a...

Best type of lighting for a large garage

Thanks mate - another 4 or 5 of the same would be overkill so when I (or my wallet) have recovered from building the bloomin' garage I'll daisychain two or three more till I have a decent coverage by trial and error.

Best type of lighting for a large garage

Thanks for the input guys - I think I will stick to Fluorescent tubes - Now - this sounds like a simple question but I doubt if it is looking at the morass of opinions on 17th edition, earth loop impedence etc - but here goes:- I have a 6 amp breaker in the Garage consumer unit ( which has in it...

Best type of lighting for a large garage

What about LEDs in a strip light? - I have not been over impressed with the light small LED worklights give - it looks bright but somehow you can not really see the illuminated object as well as with other light sources. Would they perform better than a fluorescent tube? or are they just cheaper...

Best type of lighting for a large garage

I have just built an 8m x 6m garage/workshop with a nice high roofspace - 3.5M to the purlins and collar ties - clear below. My question is - without going overboard on cost - what would people recommend to use these days as there are many newer devices than the old fluorescent tubes

How to strip the knobs off a Travi Traditional ZIDL E3115A?

Wow - thanks for that - I saw a similar data sheet but if it was the same I missed page 10 which shows the Traditional. I think someone has stripped the head off on this one and/or tried to drill it off because it looked just like a shallow conical depression - not a slotted screw thread. I...

How to strip the knobs off a Travi Traditional ZIDL E3115A?

I have searched through dozens of threads here without coming up with a solution to this one. I found some links to data sheets but the pages were no longer available. I prised out the plastic plug on the on/off valve expecting to see a screw securing the head of the tap but no - just a...

New problem with old stuart grohe 2.4 bar SRGD50 shower pump

Well - I checked all that out and have ascertained the plumbing is OK and well laid out. the filters are clean. The reed switches are clean and functional. Flow is good and similar to both hot and cold. Pump is good. -but the Trevi e3115AA that it feeds does not pass much cold water. when...

New problem with old stuart grohe 2.4 bar SRGD50 shower pump

OK - since posting I have found and watched Seb Hibbert's youtube videos on checking out Stuart pumps. I can see that the impellers are both keyed to the shaft So am I right in thinking that - given correct flow and pressure of water to both hot and cold sides of the pump - the pump will run...

New problem with old stuart grohe 2.4 bar SRGD50 shower pump

My son reports his shower has started to fail to pump cold water if a second person goes in for a shower - but continues to pump hot water. I got him to check that the header tank was being refilled properly and stayed pretty full throughout. Can the pump itself fail intermittently at one end...
