    crazing recovery

Had a room painted by a decorator a few years back... at the time he struggled with crazing, so in the end papered over and then painted over the top... paper pealing in places so time to redecorate. Want to go back to paint, no paper... Removed the paper and can see the crazing, i'm guessing...

    Access to washer

Hi, Sorry, bit of a dumb one. Please see the pic... Anyone know how I get access to the washer without destroying the tap (washer has perished)! Thought first part would be to remove what looks like a cap on top of the tap but that doesn't seem to budge when i get a knife blade behind it. Any...

    Unsound Surface Investigation

Hi, Had a bedroom decorated about 8 years ago by a decorator before we moved in. He said at the time that the emulsion kept bubbling up when applied, so gave up and papered the wall then put standard emulsion over the top. The paper is pealing in places and its time to redecorate and I would...

    Roller Marks

Hi, Painted a couple of walls white (different rooms) recently and at a certain side view angle you can see what look like roller marks (See pic). It looks a lot worse when looking at it when natural light is flooding in through a window at the other end. Any thoughts? Cheer.

    Painting - Condensation

Went with Zinsser and really easy to apply. Only thing I would say is it was a little difficult to emulsion over in places, needed lot of coats. Next time would put a couple of mist coats over the top of treated area before 2 full coats of emulsion. Cheers

    Painting - Condensation

It's probably as good as it can be... small bedroom, exhaling all night and a cold wall. I'll check the zinsser range. I was wondering about this also 'ronseal condensation paint'

    Painting - Condensation

HI, Decorating a small bedroom this weekend. The bedroom is at the corner of the house and I can see some black mould in the exposed corner and around the window. There are also some runs in the old paint work above the lintil. The walls of the area in question are pretty cold so its got to be...

Rain (slightly) weeping through roof tiles

Good idea... As you say though, getting it to bond will be the trick.. But if I can get it to stick enough, then when dry acrypol over the top paying special attention to the seams it might be ok. After all, it not got to hold back a tide, just the odd drip if that.
