    Hotpoint fridge freezer cables

Further to my last post. My daughter’s hamster has nibbled through the cables at the back of our Hotpoint Fridge Freezer. The cables affected are the red blue and green coming out of the bottom connector in the pic above. Will repairing these with some standard cable suffice or does it need...

Hi all But confused.. I’ve just been repairing some broken wires at the back of our fridge freezer courtesy of my daughters hamster - and have just noticed that the pipe over the drip tray seems to have some kind of tape over it.. should the tape be on there to steady the flow of water to a...

    Handbrake adustment

Thanks for your reply Mottie! Didn’t even think to use the wheel as leverage!! Brilliant idea! Managed to get it done and the difference is huge! Blimey… a small adjustment makes a world of difference!

    Handbrake adustment

Cancel cancel - thanks all. Job done. Was stuck on the lip in the drum. Absolutely caked on. Yeh, I’d taken everything off including the torx. I’d put two wheel bolts back on to hit with a hammer to try and unseize it all. I’d gone into try anything mode. But all done and adjusted now.. thanks all.

    Handbrake adustment

Any suggestions how to get the drum off???? I’ve done what I thought was the hard part of getting the hub nut off but the drum won’t come off now. I’ve tapped it with a hammer. I tried with the wheel bolts all out and the tamper proof out too and it seems to be stuck … it won’t come off...

    Handbrake adustment

Hi there My wife’s MG3 has an MOT looming and had an advisory at the last one for the handbrake tension. I’d like to tighten it before the next test. could I ask the best way to do it? I’ve seen the adjustment on the rear drums is the preferred method, but did also wonder if the adjuster by...

White specs in gloss when painting composite door

Thanks Wayners. Any idea the best way to tackle it? Online seems to show a lot of car spraying solutions but nothing for painting and gloss.

White specs in gloss when painting composite door

Hey there A pal of mine is currently painting his composite door and is having a bit of a nightmare. He’s sanded the door down, washed it down with sugar soap, primed (using exterior wood and metal primer from wilko), wet and dry sanded, primed again, wet and dry sanded again. Put one coat of...

Toilet keeps running and water flows into pan

Thanks both for your replies. It’s reaching the overflow. I’ve turned the adjuster on the float but that doesn’t make any change.

Toilet keeps running and water flows into pan

Hi there I have a toilet that won’t stop filling and results in the water running out into the pan - like it’s constantly flushing. I seem to remember having a problem like this before on another toilet and it was the flush valve - I think. Could anyone tell me if this is the likely cause...
