what is the electrical set up for a house that is being converted into two flats ? do you take the phase and neutral and earth into connetors then split them into two separate meters and fuseboards or do you get your local electric supplier in to install a second supply to the second flat?

reading through these responses makes me think of one point , that any one carrying out electrical work in a property is required to complete a minor works certificate for extra points and alterations etc and a electrical installation certificate for any new circuits or board changes etc to...

is it necessary to change a old fuse board with rewirable 3036 fuses which is in good working condition for a new board or is it ok to change the carriers to take m.c.b's and keep the same board. thanks for any advice
