Removing hardened silicone excess from upvc window frame?

Hi All Update on this. Used chisel to remove the rock hard silicone. Unfortunately, this has resulted in a few cracks and holes where silicone was attached to plaster. The dark area is residual mould from the leak. Cleaning it frequently but guess it could takes ages to dry out? When it’s dry...

    Help with azaleas and fuchsias

Hi Thanks for previous advice on dead heading hydrangeas. We planted two azaleas (first two photos) and two fuchsias (second two photos) late last summer. Neither of the azaleas flowered and just about survived winter. One (photo 2) is particularly withered. Ditto fuchsias. (Photos 3 and 4)...

Too late to dead head hydrangeas?

Sorry to be thick but can you highlight where exactly to cut on these images. (First one is slightly less dead flower) Also is it just the main stem or the branches? Thanks again.

Thanks both. Would you dead head in same position on both plants? It’s just that one is very withered.

Loose metal bracket in LG washer

Thanks. We always seem to end up with an appliance with a part which is unusual or difficult to access/remove. The machine is only just over two years old. Why would the same manufacturer design some (vast majority, according to YouTube) with plastic/easy to remove and then these ones requiring...

Loose metal bracket in LG washer

Hi again Quick update. Have reached out to LG, and they’re going to see if we’re covered by the “extended five year warranty”. Knowing our luck, we won’t be. All other things being equal, they advised that only a qualified engineer can remove the drum lifter. I’d take that with a pinch of...

Loose metal bracket in LG washer

I can’t shift it. Tried pulling back to front of washer, lifting, left to right. I think the only way it will go is if I snap it upwards and backwards from the loose end. Not sure that’s a good idea.

Loose metal bracket in LG washer

Hi All We’ve got a two year old LG washing machine. Noticed today that one of the small metal plates sitting on the drum has become dislodged. (Photos) I’ve tried resetting it but no cigar. Also doesn’t help as it’s still attached at the other end. Is there a quick fix for this issue? Thanks

    Dishwasher tripping power switch

It’s odd. I thought I’d solved it. Tightened so that none of the external thread on the isolator was visible. Connected water and it was shooting out. Guess it pushed the washer out of kilter? Normally, there is some of the thread visible when tightened fully. Is that what you’d expect? All I...
