    Can anyone advise wether there are different size flush cones. Im in the process of installing a new high level cistern with nice shiny flush pipe, but the pipe is slightly smaller than the plastic ones and the cone is loose and hence leaks :(

    No mention was made by building control when they inspected my first fix wiring prior to plastering. I really would like to see the actual document that says its a no no. Cos as long as the cables are not damaged I dont see the problem.

    You could use lay boards. I used gravel boards in mine. Used in the same way as the picture but the cables can be clipped onto the board together in groups using an appropriate size of cable clip, e.g three 1.5mm T+E on their ends go nicely into a 4mm clip. If you have CATV or coax then...

    I need to replace a damaged switch cable. If I want to run the new cable in oval conduit can it be tweaked into the back box to make installing the new cable easier, or do I need a oval to round convertor and then a bush? Would rather have the conduit going into the box than finishing...

    We had a meter changed to a key meter and they installed an isolator as a matter of course (eon).
