I've just bought a towel radiator which I was told was filled with oil to put onto an electric central heating system. On further inspection it was actually filled with water which I guess would be dangerous due to water expanding when hot.
I've now drilled the holes through brand new tiles...
Hi,
When my toilet is flushed the toilet handle stays in the down position and the "rod" which connects to the large washer/diaphragm stays sticking up (not very well explained - sorry). Unfortunately the cistern is tiled in and I can't get to the underside to change the siphon, has anyone...
ever since I moved into my house nearly 7 years ago black marks appear which replicate the mortar in between the breeze blocks underneath the plaster. This leads me to paint each room nearly every 12 months as the unsightly marks always show their ugly head.
Anyone any ideas?

Graham
Hi,
I'm currently installing a towel radiator on a heating system heating via a worcester greenstar combi. I also want an electric element installed (being done by an electrician!) for use during the summer months to dry towels.
Now, the instructions say install the element at the bottom...
I'm thinking of renting out my house and need some info on gas safety checks.
1 how often do they need doing?
2 how much (approx) do they cost per appliance?
3 do gas appliances need servicing by law, if so, how many times per year and how much would I expect to pay per appliance?
Thanks...

I need to change a rad to a towel rad in a bathroom on an unvented system (Heatrae Sadia). Unfortunately I can't freeze the pipework so what are the implications of draining the system? Is an airlock a potential problem?
What is the best way of completing the job?
Thanks in advance
