    Tiling outdoor step

Hi all, got a bit of an enigma regarding what to do to cover this gate plate. I can’t remove it because it runs about 8 inch under the wall so I’ve got a couple of options. Flags will end where the engineering bricks finish so it’s about an 7 inch to cover. I was going to make a small...

    Leaking patio door

Inspected the render earlier and there’s quite a few hairline cracks above so I’ve filled them. Failing that it could be the radiator but that would be a massive coincidence given all the rain we’ve had.

    Leaking patio door

This door has started leaking worse than ever. Should there be a drip channel above the door or should I just reseal the outside with silicone?

    Wooden extractor duct

Just had the sparky in and we’ve had to drop the extractor in the downstairs toilet. The ducting is made of plywood!!! WTAF? That can’t be right?

    Joints behind kitchen cabinets

I have a run of cabinets in my galley kitchen of about 4.5m. The hot cold feed need to be replumbed and will run behind these units. Would you rather have copper or my suggestion to the plumber was a single run of plastic rather than having elbows and couplers I can’t get to without ripping out...

Why is acoustic plasterboard taper edged only?

The joints are filled first before skimming ... otherwise noise would pass through the joint

    Fuse tripping out

Turn it off and unscrew each socket.... vibration from washing machines etc has a habit of losening connections. It’s ever liking a dodgy socket over the appliance
