    Mould / damp humidity issue.

So I have a black mould stop at the top corner of my house. I believe it's a cold wall and we have high humidity causing it. It is always around 80 this time of year. Before looking at PIV systems which will take time to research I thought I would look at a possible cause. On one of the same...

Mould in top corner of room.

Thanks. May investigate with some drilling as search places like a couple of vents in the wall to see if I can find any insulation before deciding what to do.

Mould in top corner of room.

Thanks. I managed to get a camera down the cavity of the adjacent wall. See no evidence of any insulation (up to about 30 cm) which seems slightly odd.

Hi I have a top floor bedroom where where at the external corner of the house there is a cold spot and where mould keeps forming. See the thermal image here. How are cavities formed around corners? Any ideas of the next step ? I don't think I can get a camera down the wall cavity that has the...

    Downspout into ground.

I currently having an issue with rats in my loft space. I believe they are coming though my soil pipe and climbing that until they are on the roof guttering. I can stop that partially by blocking the soil pipe with a rat stop product. However, I also have a downspout that goes from the roof into...

    Hep2o reducing elbow

Hi I think I am being a little dim here. I decided to use hep2o for the first time for a very small run. I would like to connect some 22 mm copper to 15 mm hep2o pipe at a right angle but can't seem to find any reducing elbows like speedfit have...

    Plaster over old bead.

Hi I have a alcove that had corked tiles which are now removed. I thought I would attempt to plaster this myself as its such a small area but wasn't sure of one point. The front edge of the alcove is in good condition. Would new beading have to be added over the existing corners / old beading...

    Spurs in kitchen

Ok Thanks Guys. I think I will get it looked at. Flameport's suggestion sounds like it wouldn't be too disruptive it the circuit is like I think and I certainly concur about having to keep replacing fuses or disconnections devices.

    Spurs in kitchen

Well I tested by switching of the ring mains one at a time to find which the plugs are on. I can see the two spur cables as they both come down from upstairs into two separate cupboard's and then they travel along the floor until they go to the sockets. The cables are not in trunking or fixed to...

Building a garden double brick wall

Yes really. My section (low down) is leaning forward about 15 cm at the top. The rest of it has separated from the foundations and there are four or five vertical cracks along the wall.
