We had the diverter valve replaced on our boiler last year, but now again the hot water wont work unless the central heating is on.
Two other problems!!
1- The pipes knock when the CH comes on in the morning and at night. Its not extremely loud, just annoying and wakes my son around...

I am claiming on my home insurance as my laminate flooring has risen in a couple of places due to a leak we had.
What sort of price would I be looking at to get somebody to take up the old laminate, level the floor underneath if needed, provide and lay new underlay and laminate?

The reason I didnt think it was that this time is because it only seems to happen first thing in the morning? It is fine the rest of the time???
I have noticed the pressure is dropping gradually from 1000+ to just over 500 then I have to top it up. There are no leaks I can see but somebody has just told me it may be an outside leak?
The problem I have noticed is first thing in the morning the boiler isnt firing when I run hot water so...
I have just knocked down a partition wall in my house...there is a slight difference in the level of the floor where the old wall used to be.
When laying laminate will I be ok to just double up on the underlay for that small part - (width of 1 brick - approx 1 metre long) and lay over it...
I am knocking through a studded wall which currently has a radiator on it.
I first of all need to know how to cap off a radiator? One side has got a thermostat on it.
Also I assume I can then just secure the capped off pipes back under the floorboards
