    the tap's male thread into the back plate is very unlikely to be anything except half inch.

    even mole grips would do, the costs of hiring an electric freezer is just nuts for this type of task, hell if I was local I would do the job for the cost of hiring one.

    10 year guarantee my arris, that will only cover the basic structure of the thing, i.e for cracked housing etc. no way in hell they will cover the moving parts / seals. why not try an ibox shower housing
