Understood. A builder actually did the structural work. I just decided afterwards to make the other changes. I would’ve made them regardless of whether the wall came down or not. I’ve made the decision to argue it with them, if they become more difficult because of that then it’s on my head...

What is considered “involved”? It’s totally unrelated to the structural change.

It looks like it was never core drilled. Just bashed out then bricked up on the outside but essentially left alone on the inside. I have attached a photo. You can see 2 pieces of mild steel being used as a “support”
