    Cast iron radiator

Brilliant advice thank you. It looks an old one and he has had it blasted and powder coated looks pretty nice actually. Point taken about the debris inside it though. Think he was worried that 15mm wouldn't give it sufficient flow being as it would have been connected previously to bigger...

    Flow and return temperature.

Thanks for the replies. How important is it to get these temperatures right? What effect does it have on the system/boiler performance?

    Flow and return temperature.

Morning, Quick question just because I like to know how things work. Am I right in thinking that the boiler thermostat controls the flow temperature? And in order to get the correct return temperature you have to have a correctly balanced system. Thanks in advance

    Pressure/hot water

Thanks, I think I've got you now, So the way the pressure effects the hot water is purely because if it drops below 0.4 bar the boiler basically just won't fire up to give you hot water when you open a tap?

    Pressure/hot water

Thank you, Yes I do mean the pressure on the gauge. So if I understand this correctly then if the pressure drops below a certain level you will/maynot get hot water or heating? I thought the pressure was just for the central heating side of things?

    Pressure/hot water

Quick question, Does the pressure on a combi boiler effect wether you get any hot water or not? Or does it just effect the heating side? This is not a problem I'm just curious as to how it works So, low pressure=no hot water? Is it the same on all combi's? Thanks as always.

    Plaster boarding an rsj

Thanks for the reply, excellent video. Unfortunately due to the way one side has to match up to the existing wall It's not really an option to put the under side piece on that way the only way I could do it is to stick it on so is there any suitable adhesives I can use? And also is it ok to do...

    Hanging radiator.

Hello, As from my other post you will see that I am in the process of planning my new kitchen. The way that I have planned it would mean the radiator being hung on the wall separating my house and my neighbours. I live in a semi-detached property. Could this be a problem for heatloss...

    Water pipe behind gas cooker

Hello, I am in the process of planning my new kitchen and where I would like my washing machine means that the cold feed would have to be run behind the gas cooker. If this is ok are there any certain requirements that I should be sticking to? Thanks in advance.

    Motorised valve

Thank you, What I can't understand is from what I have read on here if the valve is stuck in say mid position I would expect my heating to come on even though I only want hot water and the heating is off but this isn't happening.
