    Sorry for the delayed update, I finally managed to get up to the stack, please see the photos attached, to my u trained eye some of those cracks could definitely be the issue?

    Hi, its fixed to speed 1, not variable. The taco has always been on the system since i moved in, i assume its to regulate the flow speed through the heat exchanger, however the baffle never changes above the 8 mark, i just wonder what purpose the spring has and if it should move about so much
