Cable direct clipped to wall behind PIR insulated plasterboard

So after giving it some thought, I've decided to chase the cable into the wall instead. Got myself an angle grinder and it seems pretty easy, the plaster is deep so no need to go into the brick. This way I can rest assured the cable isn't affected by the insulation and it will make the boards...

Cable direct clipped to wall behind PIR insulated plasterboard

Fixing the insulation without cutting a channel isn't going to work, I'm attaching it directly to the wall using foam so there won't be any gap. So the alternative would be to chase the cable into the wall first, but I'd rather not do that if it's not necessary.

Cable direct clipped to wall behind PIR insulated plasterboard

I'm in the process of insulating a room located above the garage in my house. It has 3 solid brick external walls so gets very cold - I'm installing insulated plasterboard with 50mm PIR (celotex) bonded to 12.5mm board. My plan is to fix the boards using Soudal PB adhesive foam, direct to the...

Anyone recognise this ESPO bifold door handle?

Looking for a replacement handle for this bifold door. The broken one is unmarked but some of the other hardware has an ESPO logo on it. Couldn't find much online  Thanks :D

    Chipped floor tile...

So we are washing up in the bath because there is no kitchen yet... Was grouting the bathroom wall last night and knocked a mug off the edge of the bath onto the new ungrouted floor tiles! Didn't notice at the time, just thought it was good that the mug didn't break o_O Lovely chip out of one...

How to prepare walls for tiling around shower over bath?

So my new bath is in, and I've given myself the job of tiling the bathroom. It's an acrylic L-shaped shower bath, one wall is newly plastered and the other (where the shower will be mounted) is a stud wall with Hardiebacker board: New bath by jwilf posted 13 Jan 2019 at 6:14 PM I'm using flat...

Is 66cm enough space for WC?

Update - got the 1600mm bath installed, here is a pic of the toilet now installed in the space: New toilet by jwilf posted 13 Jan 2019 at 6:16 PM It's definitely a nice comfortable space for the loo, and the bath is still perfectly useable :) PS. That pipe is just resting there, that's not a...

Is 66cm enough space for WC?

I've decided to go for the 1600mm bath and just deal with the hassle of returning the 1700. I think it will create a much more comfortable space for the loo! Thanks all.

Is 66cm enough space for WC?

Sorry this is kind of a double post but I want to get a few more opinions. Basically I have a bathroom layout with the toilet at the foot of the bath. The space between the end of the bath and the wall will be about 66cm and I'm wondering if this is enough? The layout is like this: Bathroom 3d...

    New bathroom layout

Well that's how it was before nortonj but the room has been lengthened and we want to move the bath away from the window because we mostly have showers and it's not ideal having a shower next to the window. I think if I ask the builders to remove the existing plaster from the back wall then that...
