The one i have heard of I believe is 3.2mm thick. It is more of a wall liner than a wall paper. I think the maker is Erfurt Mav !! I know is a bit pricey but if it does work then it is worth spending that bit more.
Hi All
Looking for some good advice. I am looking to decorate a bedroom which has 2 very cold walls> I want to use a good thermal wallpaper. I have used warmaline in the past and found it rubbish. I am no pro but found it ripped and dented very easily and therefor found the finish terrible. Can...
Ok so have stripped the paint and as much varnish of my staircase as I can - I am pretty happy with it even though it has taken nearly 2 weeks! Now that looks tidy the white skirting board which runs up the stairs looks awful so I am going to strip it back to bare wood and repaint. Can anyone...
Yes have to agree I remember the time if you spilt paint remover on your skin it would burn like h**l - now it can sit on paint for an hour and hardly touch it!!!!
Oops thanks but they are not spindles ( in my case thank heavens for that) - they are long lengths of wood which are then set into end rails. I would have loved to rip it down but hubby wouldnt hear of it lol
Hmm i am afraid replacing banisters is not an option. I would love too but they are kind of built into stair case. Oh well just carry on with paint stripper - they dont look too bad I have to say better than i thought but would have liked it lighter - but you cant have everything you want...

Many thanks for comments and advice. We have decided to use insulating boards (not till after Christmas though :-)
Hope you all have a great Christmas and New Year.
Thanks
Mike when we bought house many many years ago we built a new bathroom/kitchen extension and that part of the house is cosy as walls were insulated just wish we had had the sense to insulate other walls. Would have made life far easier. Looks like we are going down the route of insulating boards.
