Ok so have stripped the paint and as much varnish of my staircase as I can - I am pretty happy with it even though it has taken nearly 2 weeks! Now that looks tidy the white skirting board which runs up the stairs looks awful so I am going to strip it back to bare wood and repaint. Can anyone suggest a good wood filler which will sand easily? I know this is going to sound really stupid and please bear with me I am not a pro but could I use easifill?/ I have used this on walls and found it great to sand down. Any chance - or is that just down right stupid!! I am going to paint the wood white.
