Dot and dab would be easier overall but it's a messy job and not as accurate as fixing batons. 25mm drywalls will be fine just don't sink the heads in too far, if its a problem you can always angle the screws slightly.
A bit of no nails will be fine.
Hi, I'm looking to do a curved desk top out of either oak or maybe pine does anyone know the best place to get this from? It only has to be 1400mm L 600mm W and thickness can be between 18- 27mm. I live in Nottingham on the off chance anyone know anywhere in nottm.
Thanks, Kev.
You could always try using gyproc studs- you attach brackets to the wall and level up the studs then fix through the brackets so you can go as close to the wall or further away depending on thickness of insulation.
Does anyone know what sort of size rsj I would need for supporting a wall in an average size 3 bed semi? The length would be 2.3m.
Also roughly what would this cost?
Thanks in advance, Kev.
A customer has asked for two fire doors fitted in existing frames in a shop as the fire officer has been round and requested them. They haven't asked for smoke seals but just wondered if they needed them? We were just goin to get fd30 doors. Thanks.
