Raj size?

Does anyone know what sort of size rsj I would need for supporting a wall in an average size 3 bed semi? The length would be 2.3m.
Also roughly what would this cost?

8" x 4" and will cost about £160. That said I don't do home building so I could be wrong.

Assuming nothing out of the ordinary, single skin, as Norcon, says, you are *probably* looking at a 203*102 UB. Cost, take your pick, doubt you would get it done for less than £750, could be looking at £2k all depends...................

Thanks. Sorry I probably didn't explain properly, I'll be doin the job myself so just needed a rough guide of cost and size of rsj not to do the job.
