So are you thinking several normal wood screws vertically up through the top plate of the wall and into the lower edge of the worktop? Would going in at different angles give extra strength (a bit like toe-nailing with nails)?

One of our radiators has stopped working.
I've removed the TRV and checked the pin which looks fine - pushed it in and out a few times to make sure it isn't sticking. That hasn't helped.
Pipes leading away from the radiator on both sides are cold.
Any thoughts on what else I can try...
