Thank you Richard, I do not have time to remove the old tiles, it is a surprise for my mom and dad, they are on holiday at the moment.

We are going to remove the lot and start again, have been reading some reviews on B & Q cerafix and alot of people seem to be having the same problem, looks like some never dry out!
I am thinking of getting BAL Rapid fix, this ok?
I feel quite gutted at the moment so please help.
We have tiled over tiles in my mom and dads kitchen, all was going really well until today the tops row of tiles have well just sort of fell off? We were removing the excess adhesive ready for grouting.

We bought an electric fire 2 months a go, blew a bulb, put a new one in yesterday (25W) and it has just blown again :( it was only on for 3 hours
Anyway the bulb is a 25W standard bayonet fitting (There is a sticker on the fire that says "MUST ONLY BE FITTED WITH A 25W BULB")...
I have just had a quick go with the Zinsser cover stain (had it delivered)on an old piece of laminate kickboard.
Am i doing something wrong or will there be really bad brush strokes? I think i may have put too much on? Do i need to sand after before the eggshell?
Just something to cover the tiles up, not because we don't want to remove them, i just think this below looks better than tiles

We are doing our kitchen and want something different other than tiles. Would ideally like the splashback all round but is there a cheaper alternative? I understand i would need something heat resistant by the hob. I am covering old tiles so I couldn't have anything too narrow.
Thanks so much...
