gas4u, when you say doubtfull, do you mean the gaspipes need to be a larger size, or the boiler needs to be closer the meter

i have measured the flowrate now from the kitchen tap, and that delivers a good 21 litres per minute so a lot greater than the 14.5 letres per minute i get on the 3rd floor ive also checked my gas pipes and they are 3/4"

i have measured the pressure and flow, so here goes i have static pressure of 4 bar, and a flow rate of 14.5 litres per min open pipe on the 3rd floor coming from a 15mm pipe. i have looked at the vaillant ecotec plus 37kw combi boiler for this house, any ideas

hi i managed to get a pressure tester, but no flow cup, i do know where to get one from so will pick that up next week, i only just put the mains tester on the garden tap so far which is a very short tee off the kitchen tap and the reading is 4.5bar, which surprises me, if that is the case...

    Before the possible Combi Arrives

hi so after Tony's response, i suppose i do need to worry about the pressure/flow. If im going to measure this properly how do you suggest i do this, i want to measure the flow and pressure on top floor as well as ground, any ideas

    Before the possible Combi Arrives

so do you think i need to worry about the pressure or flow of the mains coming to the house, if i go for a 37 or 40kw boiler, and just keep the shower electric, also am i forgetting any other important stuff thanks

    Before the possible Combi Arrives

i want to spend about 1K on the boiler and im going to do all the pipework myself, we mainly have showers, so am i still looking at the 37 or 40kw boiler. also is it worth me measuring the pressure of mains on the 3rd floor, i was going to measure this out of the mains to the current f+e tank
