Hi Richard C. idon't think you have understood. I wasn't talking about moisture resistant plasterboard. I was talkinking about Gyprocs' equivalent to Hardibacker.

Have been working on my house for a while but not got round to taking pics. Today was quite productive so took a pick of what have done. Double boarded ceiling with 12.5mm standard plasterboard and then 15mm dB plasterboard. All screwed to resilient bars. About 15 square meters. Not bad...

My local builders merchants no longer sell Hardibacke 500. The cheapest so far is 12 quid plus vat fo the 12mm 1200x800 boards. Is there an equivelent moisture resistant board that is more economical and just as dense, The others Ihave seen , such as the Brit gyp seem not so dense.

What size/width timber is used to make a sash that can take a double glazed unit.The double glazed unit has to be up to current regs/uvalue. Is 44mm ok?
