Adding handheld to wall mounted rain shower

Just to add that I could get rid of the rain head completely and just fit a handheld / riser bar. However, the water outlet pipe is above head height rather than being around waist height. It would need quite a long hose to allow use of the bracket. Has anyone any experience with this sort of...

Adding handheld to wall mounted rain shower

We have an Aqualisa quartz shower with a wall mounted rain head. Is there any way of adding a handheld shower hose ? I've tried adding a diverter between the head and wall pipe which sort of works but we lose pressure from the rain head and it doesn't look great with the handheld hose coming...

How does boiler CH temperature effect hot water temperature

We have an Ideal Logic Heat 12, Megaflow tank and standard (S plan ?) plumbing for radiator valves and hot water cylinder. It all seems to work ok but I’m confused by the boiler temperature control. The manual says it ranges from 30 to 80 with an E setting at about the 2 o’clock position. If I...

Advise on gutter being too short

Thanks for the replies. I suppose it makes sense to cut the pipe and use another union even though it’s probably only for a couple of cm.

Advise on gutter being too short

My house has a persistent leak where a half pipe (112mm) meets the connecting union to the next pipe or at the downpipe outlet. The half pipe isn't quite long enough as the builder seems to have set the down pipe union and pipe connecting union slightly too far apart. As it expands / contracts...

    UPM 3 L setting

I have moved into a small 3 bed property with a condensing boiler, radiator TRVs (except for those near the thermostat), a Grunfoss UPM3 L circulator and an automatic bypass valve next to the Megaflow. The instller seems to have left the UPM in the factory default of proprtional curve 3. This...

    TMV low pressure

In case anyone else has the same problem, the hot water inline filters was partially blocked by flakes of solder. I now have full pressure again

    TMV low pressure

It’s a pressurised system from a megaflow. The house is about 2 years old. There is good pressure from the other taps and en-suite shower etc. Also there is good pressure from the bath hot tap if I turn the TMV control fully clockwise so that it’s only using the cold water inlet. It’s just when...

    TMV low pressure

i have a Saracen TMV 2/3 fitted under the bath. With the control fully clockwise there is lots of pressure out of the bath hot water tap but it’s cold. With the control fully anti-clockwise there is hot water but at a reduced pressure compared to other taps. It means the shower fitted to the tap...

    Megaflo wiring centre

You are correct in that the house is a new build, about a year old. I still can't work out why the Magflo wiring centre does not have a permanent live. There is a another wiring box on the wall of the airing cupboard so I will have to trace through the wires in there as well.

    Megaflo wiring centre

Thanks for all your comments. I'll investigate further tomorrow to try and work out where the live comes from. Assuming the live is routed through the relevant thermostat, I'll just trace the wires and wire the Nest Heatlink in its place. It would be more straight forward if the installer had...

    Megaflo wiring centre

Definitely S plan as there are three separate water circuits each with its own valve. I can only think that a permanent live goes to the thermostat and becomes switched on call. This is then connected to both the valve grey but also to the wiring centre live terminals (and hence the valve...
