    Odd sound from upstairs drainage

Recently, and during gusts of wind it seems the shower cubical and sink drain makes an odd sound, what could be causing this - any hints for me to look for? Real basic knowledge here! thanks

    what is this cistern filler

i took off the arm part, and cleaned the seal in there. it looked ok?.. (see pics) but still leaks from there i think (despite the water coming out of the main column when filling). What does this do? (sorry new to all this) and any clues to fixing it? (where does the screw on top go??)...

    Socket suddenly drops voltage

nothing was changed, no led strips swapped out, no wiring. these were led strips powered direct from mains.

    Socket suddenly drops voltage

yeah opened the junction box and rescrewed all terminals. its the white circular junction box that feeds the lights.

    Socket suddenly drops voltage

The under unit led lights in our kitchen dimmed recently. The strips were not faulty and were tested elsewhere. Turns out the power at the junction box of this set is not 240v but around 133v what could have caused this, is there a fix?

Adding a double socket to socket

im tempted to just plug in an extension wire to the unused socket in the garage and have this end in a socket where i want it

Adding a double socket to socket

crikey knows how this was put together! so the socket i want to extend may now be a spur. The wire looks like it is coming from the left of the socket. There are no sockets to the left. About 6m away on the left is the MCU in the garage. There is a strange wire behind a metal shield in the wall...

Adding a double socket to socket

hm but buried into the wall, so not sure i could figure it out

Adding a double socket to socket

ok if that is the case to add a double socket, with plugs that will have fuses in them. I need to have some sort of fused unit before it?

Adding a double socket to socket

really? oh. so how does one tell if it is a spur? like i said this is most probably part of original build of house, and all sockets appear to be off this 32A fuse

Adding a double socket to socket

If you are asking about the consumer unit, this is fed (among all sockets) by a 32A fuse.
