    Thanks. I have borrowed a daimond saw, but i wasn't sure how it was going to work with thin pieces of tile. Are you saying the tile will behave in the same way as if i cut through the middle of it? I was concerned that it may chip away?

    Thanks for the advice. The detector i've got doesn't actually connect to anything. You just hold it near and it beeps if it detects a live current. Are you suggesting i get a detector that i can hook up to the wires? Is there any other basic things i could check before doing that? Thanks...

    Not a thing. When i flick the switch nothing happens. Thought it may be the bulbs that have blown, but when replacing with new bulbs, not a sausage. Any ideas?
