Hello, I just need a bit of information please on my water meter. It has a remote Talisman black unit on my front wall with the meter inside the kitchen at the back of the house. The water company reckon my meter was unable to be read and have arranged for a contractor to come and check it...

Right, so many different answers. It states “transformer” on it? The manufacturers website states it is a transformer.

    Downlight transformer

Hi I have 4 downlights in a room which currently have MR16 halogen bulbs fitted. I am wanting to swap these for LED bulbs, keeping the housings. However, they have a TCI Saronno W.X 105/240 transformer fitted to each light. My question is, can I change the halogens to LED? If so, any...

    Adey Magnaclean Professional

Right... so I have now isolated, removed, cleaned and refitted. System up and running. Would it be advisable to dose the system with X400 or equivalent and circulate for a few days then drain off and dose with inhibitor? Or should I just keep checking the magnaclean in weekly stages and clean?

    Adey Magnaclean Professional

Thanks Dan. Will give the valves a bit of a crank, without the "key" I will use some moles and a cloth.

    Combi water flow too high?

Yes, boiler is serviced regularly. Was serviced June 2016 and March this year. The burner does come on but then goes off before repeating the cycle. Both service guys have commented it was difficult to get an emission reading but said they have seen this type of action on these boilers previously.

    Combi water flow too high?

Sorry, forgot to check the auto correct before submitting. Correct figure is 10L. @AGAS - I asked which stop cock if you read my question. It was a simple question and didn't warrant sarcasm.

    Combi water flow too high?

Hello, Just had a new kitchen and the installer replaced and worked on the water supply into the house. This resulted in a new stopcock. I live in a fairly big house and prior to the work the water flow was "acceptable" but not the best I had seen. The boiler delivered consistent hot water...

Hi, I currently have a single socket in the old airing cupboard and would like to change to a double. I presume this socket used to be the old immersion heater socket. It is on the green side of the CU and has its own breaker. Fully tested and working. Directly wired into this socket is my...
