I just need a bit of information please on my water meter. It has a remote Talisman black unit on my front wall with the meter inside the kitchen at the back of the house.
The water company reckon my meter was unable to be read and have arranged for a contractor to come and check it over.
A couple of questions:
1) The grey cable coming from a gland on the front of the meter to the Talisman unit - is this powered? How does the unit work as I cannot find anything on the internet.
2) Can they just change this part or do they need to change the meter in total? IF the latter I would be seriously peeved as it would mean destroying the back of my cupboard.
