    We have a fairly new extractor hood which has just died, before I get someone out as it's under warranty I need to check there is power getting to the hood. The connection is behind the chimnry hood which would be a real pain in the arse to try and remove as it's very tight. I doubt the issue...

    Actually I can use a fishing line n a small weight. Dropped a small stone and Tbh I don't think the is any water in it. It could be a dud!!

    We have this cover on a path on our allotments It is rather old and we want to see how deep is , but cant seem to get it off Tried crowbar, but no joy.... Its cast iron with concrete inserts, built on a brick base and is over 50 years old i reckon Edit: have sent pic of to san...

    Hi Thanks for your reply and sorry for my slow one! Would it be wise to get something like a 10mm to dust recycled product to put down as top layer on top of the thicker stone? it would be slabs and it would be concrete ones (i think), As regards to sizes would be looking to do it...

    Push fit or compression

    If you have a choice would you prefer to use push fit fittings or compression ones? Are compression fittings longer lasting and less likely to go wrong?

    The cracks arent on neither. The whole house was reskimmed. Some was d+d. This part was just skimmed. Problem on occurs when it gets hot

    When we have a hot day one part of the house gets warm and some hairline cracks appear, nothing more than that but quite obvious. When it cools down hard to see cracks. We had house completely replastered a few years ago. It us now decorting time and I wondering the best way to fill these...
