    Fagor Oven FSO1700X Too Hot

As above.... doesn't matter what the temp it is set to it keeps getting hotter. When the temp button is held, it indicates the actual temperature, so that sensor seems OK. Does anyone know if this is the same sensor that is used for control? I'm wondering if there is a stuck/fused relay, but the...

    Push button basin waste

Yeah! I had hoped that as they'd designed it for removal without spanners that they'd have made spares available....Doh! back to the real world. Thanks for your input

    Push button basin waste

Thanks but I can find dozens of pop up wastes. The existing item forms part of a pull-out assembly which is held in place and sealed with an O ring.

    Push button basin waste

My neighbour has a basin where you press the centre of the waste fitting and it latches down to let the water out. The mechanism has worn so that it doesn't latch. The mechanism looks like it should be replaceable being made of brass and screwed to the chrome parts. Anyone know if they are...

    thread tape or something similar

Trust me.....Rawlnut. They're ideal for situations like this. It's a rubber cylinder with a lip at one end to stop it falling into the panel and a metric screw thread at the other.

    thread tape or something similar

How about Rawlnuts? They are a rubber plug with a metal threaded insert. When you screw into them they get shorter and fatter. They've been around for donkey's years and quote "For use in virtually any construction material from thin sheet metal to concrete. Fixing expands to fit internal...

Plans for working louvres / louvers

Does anyone have tips for making louvre window shutters with pivoting slats suitable for use outside? The finished size will be about 1.5m high x 0.4m wide. I envisage that all metal fittings would need to be brass and that red cedar would be a suitable wood, but not sure what dimensions of...

    Whirlpool AWM6100 keeps stopping

This auto washer goes through phases where it repeatedly stops mid cycle and needs the stop/start button pressing to get it going again. Sometimes it only holds in for a few seconds before stopping again. It can happen at any part of the cycle, so because i'm looking for something common to...
