Update.... Spin is working but keeps causing the machine to stop and lights to flash. Any ideas what might be causing these things.

After some further advise please... I've changed the brushes as the old ones were worn right down. Drum now turning but is making a whirring sound and when it got to spin cycle it struggled to go round. Have turned it off. Any ideas...

WOW... what a fast response, thank you. That makes sense, for a couple of weeks now the cycle has been stopping mid cycle so sounds like it might be the brushes. I've just had a quick look on you tube and looks relatively easy to change them.

Drum stopped going round so took back off and the wheel attached to the back of the drum that has the belt on has what looks like soot on it. No burning smell so took belt off and it looks ok, any ideas what the problem could be... thanks in advance

Basic fan assisted oven not heating up... only 3 years old and we actually changed the oven element around a year ago. Grill is heating up and fan is coming on, it's just the oven not heating up. Red temperature light is on. Has the element gone or is there something else it could be? I...

I don't see that as relevant to my original post so why post the comment. To clarify, the boiler was checked and fitted by an OFTEC registered heating engineer who has been looking after our oil boilers for 15 years.

Yes the other valve is open and the pin requires pressure to push in.

Thanks... Yes it's the overheat button... Not sure I'm brave enough to check it myself though, will ring my boiler guy.

Pressure is fine, I've just managed to reset, boiler fires up but still no hot water or heating . Then after a while it pops out again. Could it be the pump?

It's not locking out but the reset button under the top has popped out and stay on. I've turned it off and will have another go but any ideas would be great.
