Installing an inline fan in the loft. I assumed it needs a permanent live and neutral plus a switched live which I have. Can someone please make sense of the instructions for me and tell me where the three wires go for max speed with timer.

I ended up getting one of these for my 4m x 2m pool. Takes time to heat up but it's much more energy efficient.

I made the mistake of buying one of the small Intex pumps. When I added a heater it became clear it wasn't up to the job. The neighbour then decomissioned his pool and gave me one similar to this. The difference was massive and it's worked for 5 years without a blip. I think Intex are a good...
Hi
A few years ago I block paved the front drive and laid slate slabs as a rear patio. The slabs look c**p. They always look dull. I let the kids help with the grouting which was a bad mistake as it wasn't packed in enough so that's broken up in places. I used slate to clad the perimeter...
Did it myself 5 years ago. Still looks great. I put a 10cm base over the existing soil, with 20mm sand over that. I use a petrol blower to keep it neat and hoover it a couple of times a year.
Hi
About 3 weeks ago I had the expansion vessel replaced on a Ferroli Modena 80E. All worked fine until last night. The hot water comes out brown for around 30 seconds, it then clears but the heat cuts out. Central heating no longer works because the pressure has dropped to zero. Haven't got...
Hi
A brickie built me a single skin block wall around 6 months ago. As coping on the top of the wall I used 600 x 300 Indian sandstone. They're actually patio slabs but it looks nice. A couple of them have come loose. If I relay them is there any particular mix I should use to get them to stick?
The timer has gone blank before then come back to life so it was the obvious thing to replace. I had a spare one anyway. Now it seems like it's not the timer would a faulty pump or pressure switch cause the timer to show a blank screen? PCB would make sense but the pump?
Hi
I've built a single skin block garage and have just rendered the rear wall which is around 3m2 as there's a window in the middle. I did a 10mm scratch coat with a 4:1 mix, left it for a couple of weeks then did another 10mm coat @ 5:1 + waterproofer. I floated the second coat to a nice flat...
Hi
No CH or HW, all lights are off unless I turn to reset then the red light comes on indicating a fault Clock timer is blank so I thought perhaps it was the timer that died so I've replaced it and the replacement is also dead. Any ideas?
Thanks. Just to say the connection would be outside the garage. About 3m to the left is an access chamber that will be in the new garage and 6m to the right is another chamber. Both are private. Because there are already two chambers either side of this new connection and I'm intending to block...
