    TV internal connectors to Loudspeakers

Hi, Can anyone tell me what connectors are used to connect the loudspeakers to control board on a Samsung EU40D5520 television? probably Molex but I can't identify with my eyesight. I find sound output from LED TVs pretty poor and would like to try connecting to a pair of Hi-Fi speakers I have...

Old chiming clock now chimes one hour less than the true time

My wifes old chiming clock now chimes the hour one less than the actual time, also chimes 12 at one o'clock. She frequently moves the hands to the correct time after it has stopped but before winding it up. Any clues as to what's happened. No force exerted when moving hands.

    Toilet Cistern Flush Valve jamming

Thanks again Rodders and Loofah. I'm barred from driving temporarily after a stroke and repair operation but showing it for comparison seems the next move.

    Toilet Cistern Flush Valve jamming

Hi Loofah, thanks for the suggestion but I think grease inside a plastic assembly would harden in cold water and make the problem worse. Thanks for your reply too Chris(CBW), It does appear to be an Ideal Standard fitting but modified enough to need a complete replacement, need to find the...

    Toilet Cistern Flush Valve jamming

The cisterns in my toilets have the pictured flush valves fitted, the body of the assembly can be removed by twisting it counterclockwise by about fifteen degrees and lift out to replace the seal at the bottom, easy peasy, one of the valves has jammed open a couple of times no apparent fault and...

    Noisy Shower

Yes Terry I guess it is a power shower, Bristan by the way not Bristar. Don't know how old the original shower was but the new one is about nine months old both apparently making the same noise so not a problem with the shower itself. I can only assume there is an obstruction in the pipework...

    Noisy Shower

Hello Terry, the new shower is another Bristar, same model, and yes it is on the same floor as the hot water cylinder and the cold side is fed from the loft tank. Should the shower pump be able to cope with this arrangement.

    Noisy Shower

the shower apparently has no model identification on the case, I would need to visit to take the cover off. Hot water is supplied from a standard boiler to a hot water tank on the first floor of the house, cold reservoir tank is in the loft immediately above the cupboard holding the hot water...

    Noisy Shower

Hi Terry, what I didn't say before, daughter got a new shower fitted but with the same model because of the expense of making necessary alterations to the shower cubicle. the new shower is just as noisy, which is why I suspected water pressure.

    Noisy Shower

My daughter moved into an ex-MOD house and the water supply is still provide from the MOD site across the road, not very high pressure. The shower is a Bristar pumped model and a few seconds after switching on it becomes very noisy, the pump motor seems to labour getting enough water through. Is...
