We have had a new heat only boiler installed this January. Just recently when the central heating shuts off there is a loud bang, it doesn't do it every time, but I can't figure where the noise is coming from. The pump is in the airing cupboard along with 2 motorised valves. Any ideas please?

Thanks to everyone who replied to me! I didn't realise that there is different types of stainless steel. I tested my saucepan lids and some are magnetic and some are not! Time will tell if the sink was a good buy or not!

I've just purchased and installed a stainless steel kitchen sink. Its supposed to be 0.9mm thick stainless steel but doesn't react at all to a magnet! Have I been conned? Anyone know about the differing qualities of stainless steel? Saying that it looks good and has a 15 year guarantee!

Hi there! I have a Potterton Gold 24HE boiler that makes a noise when turning the hot taps on in the bathroom but not the kitchen! It does not make a noise when using the central heating. Boiler is working fine apart from this noise. Anyone Help with what the problem could be?

I'm looking to do out a small shower/bathroom in the pvc cladding but not sure what is best to fix it to the walls. Anyone used this stuff before? Do I use the solvent free 'no nails' stuff? I'm using 8mm thickness of sheets on battens.

I own a studio flat that has problems with condensation in the lounge/bedroom, kitchen and bathroom are separate. The lounge has double glazed windows with trickle vents, the walls have been cavity filled, it doesn't seem to matter if the heat is on or off, the windows still stream with water...

I need to replace a leaking stopcock where there is no movement whatsoever in the pipe, either up or down. Any ideas?

The fan on my main oven only seems to work if I bang the door after its been on for 15/20 minutes. Any ideas?
