    candy cdi1012

Well the motor is okay. I tested it out on a workbench and the pump runs fine. I definitely hear water entering the system and every time I try the dishwasher from start again the drain pump empties the water that has entered. The water is just not entering the drum and moving the spray arms...

    candy cdi1012

I'm an electrician to trade but could do with some pointers on my candy cdi 1012 dishwasher. Have had it for 7 years and it has been great. Now it is not working. This is what happens. I select program, shut the door, the inlet valve works and you can here the water entering. The drain pump...

    bouncy floor

I need advice on the following matter: I have recently bought a house which was built in the mid 1930's. The bedroom floor on the ground floor is of the suspended type i.e. joists lying on a wall plate which is then supported by the outside wall. The room is square and measures 3metres 20 by 3...

    Floor support

I thought the honeycomb sleeperwall was a wall that was put in the middle of the room to half the span in rooms which have a long floor area. My wall is on the outside wall so its not a honeycomb sleeper wall. What do you think of building up the wall using airbricks, this would provide the...

    Floor support

I already posted on the fact that my circa 1930's house has bouncy floors. on lifting up the floorboards it was found that the inner wall(cavity construction), well the part on which the ground floor joists rest was missing. Not all the wall was missing, about a metre and a half below the...

    bouncy floors

I've recently moved and the house i bought was built in the 1930's. 2 rooms had bouncy floors. The bounce was along the outside wall. When i lifted the floorboards i noticed that some of the wall on which the joists rest was missing i.e. the joists are resting on the wooden wall plate but the...

I would like to purchase a electronic timer which will fit in this boiler and allow me to program on a seven...

    Hob fitting

Is it ok to use a flexible tap hose (the stainless steel braided type) to fit onto a hob. I have a gas isolating valve and want to fit the hose to it using 15mm and half inch onto the hob. I would use gas ptfe tape. bearing in mind that these hoses can work up to 15 bar and the gas pressure is...

    Strap-on

Thanks, it was marked top and i put it the right way up. I could try and use some solvent cement to blok where the leak is. Was i right in drilling the 53 mm hole? Is it not better to drill a hole smaller than the insert so that the insert covers the hole instead of sitting in it?

    Strap-on

I fitted a strapon to a 110mm soil pipe. The strapon had an insert of roughly 53mm and i drilled a hole of 51mm and filed the rest. I assumed that the insert of the strapon had to fit snugly into the hole i drilled in the soil pipe. I then fitted the strap on with solvent cement and tightened...
