Hi, the woodburner installer cut out a section of plasterboard and replaced it (im guessing with heat resistant plasterboard) behind the woodburner, the problem I have is even after filling, sanding and painting the join between the new section of plasterboard and old the heat makes the board...
never heard of support tray but it looks useful
so in summary it looks as though I have to:
- support the mortar with a cement fibre board
- possibly fit felt support tray?
- re point the tile ends
- fit eaves comb
it is expanding foam, I think the main tile void was filled with foam and then the end of the tile had pointing
the only thing though sitting below the pointing is a membrance, should there be nothing else supporting the pointing?
also Im not sure wether the roof itself is too flat and its...
the plaster behind the stove itself seems to be cracking now I have used it a bit
but the cracks above the lintel seem to have been from the expansion/contraction of the beam
is it likely to still have much movement in it or was the excessive movement just due to the wood drying??

I have recently moved into a house which has had a garden room extension added, I have just recently noticed that the roof tile edging is breaking down and falling into the gutter
can anyone advise if this has been build wrong and how I can put it right??

After removing a strangely located light socket I now have a gaping hole in the door architrave (see pics below)
any suggestions on how I can repair this?
Can I fill it in somehow or will I have to repplace the whole sections of architrave?
