The light switch in my bedroom recently died so I bought a new one from Screwfix but I think the new one I've bought is different to the old one. The switch just controls one light and is the only switch that does so.

Am I right in thinking that the original switch...
This is wired up with the control module in place:
And this is wired directly, bypassing the control module:
And this is the wiring diagram (my installation is has an external isolator switch over the bathroom door):
For reference, this is the old fan:
Any obvious gotchas...?
I recently purchased an AirFlow iCON 15 extractor fan after the previous one in my bathroom died. I purchased it from from SuperLec but it doesn't seem to be working.
I've wired it in and the actuator that opens/closes the cover works, but the fan itself doesn't do anything. I also purchased...
I did wonder about the spray arms as it always looks like the goo has dripped down into stuff from above...but I couldn't see anything in them.
Yes, always get rid of fat before putting stuff in
Just recently my dishwasher (Bosch) has started leaving random deposits of a brown, sticky goo on certain items in the dishwasher. The dishwasher is about 5 years old and still works a treat...no issues at all. Then about 2 weeks ago this started happening.

Well, bizarrely enough, the tap is now stopping quickly like it used to. I didn't actually do anything...it's just sorted itself out!
Maybe just needed some time to bed in...?!
Both old and new valves have 20 spines, so it's kinda weird that they sit differently.
D'you think it looks slow to turn off in the vid? Or is that normal? It's definitely slower than the old one
Thanks for the info (y)
Re the tap alignment...I'm under a bit of pressure to get them to line up, if you catch my drift! ;) (You never know, once it's been like this for a few days, it might get overlooked!). Good suggestion re the tape though - I'll give it a try if a fix is demanded requested!
My kitchen mixer tap (quarter turn, approx 5-6 years old) had a dripping cold tap so I've replaced the cartridge with a new one from Screwfix:

Two issues...firstly, when the tap is fully off, the handle is...
