The light switch in my bedroom recently died so I bought a new one from Screwfix but I think the new one I've bought is different to the old one. The switch just controls one light and is the only switch that does so.
Old switch:
New switch:
Am I right in thinking that the original switch is a one-way and the new switch is a two-way?
And if so, I believe that it's possible to wire a two-way switch as a one-way switch...is that correct?
What would be the correct way to wire it? The old switch has brown going into common, which I'm assuming is COM on the new switch? And blue then goes into L1...is this the top left terminal on the new switch (labelled 1-WAY)?
Thanks!
