Hi folks,
We've moved some furniture around in out back room and found that the carpet underneath was rotting. I've lifted it up and found that there's a section of carpet edging strip that's disintegrated into a dust. Is this dry rot?

Right Tony, I have got myself a pressure gauge.
I put the gauge on our outside tap, then run the upstairs bath cold tap at full tilt.
The gauge showed 64 psi / 4.4 bar with the tap running.
Turned off the bath tap and the gauge showed 115 psi / 8 bar.
I hope this means something to you...
I've decided to forget about the second bathroom for a while and get the first one done.
When I eventually refit the second bathroom, I can decide whether to fit an electric or mixer shower.
Now I have a different question. I've been researching my options for the various shower types and...
I want to do a similar thing.
We have a Worcester 40 CDi combi boiler and what I think is pretty high water pressure.
I'm hoping to run two mixer showers on this system.
Couple of questions...
1) are some showers better at dealing with changes in water pressures - for instance if...
Changed the fuse in the plug.
It's not blowing any more.
Now, when you switch it on, the red power LED comes on, but nothing else happens. Turning the program dial doesn't do anything - no hums etc
I'll start with the door switch.
My Whirlpool washing machine keeps blowing the fuse when we press the power on button.
Any ideas where I should start to diagnose the problem? Is there something common which causes this?

I left the washing in and ran the gentle spin cycle. This worked OK.
I then removed the washing and ran intensive spin. This worked OK.
I then put the washing back in and ran intensive spin again. This worked OK.
Have you any thoughts on that!!?
We have a AWM321 washing machine.
After the last few washes we've done the clothes have been very wet. When I checked the rinse cycle, it fires up for a fast spin, then after about 3 or 5 seconds it stops. The machine then rolls the washing over again for a few seconds before starting another...
The machine doesn't have many switches...
An on/off button
A rinse hold button
A temperature dial
A programme dial
That's all there is.
It has a auto half load feature. We always put in full loads, so this will never get used. How does it detect half loads? Is it possible to bypass...
