i got a peice of wood from a friend he had it because the guy who lived in the house before he bought it left it under the shed.
the peice of wood has teak with the length written on the end of it but i have my doubts.
it was very easy to cut and sand and work with in general it didnt seem...
i would use safety glass in a shower and i would seal the wood first with outdoor varnish before applying the tiles if you are going down this route.
glass cabinets and showers might not be a good idea you could use marine ply for shelves then use outdoor fence paint its designed to get wet...
i would use marine ply i dont know if laminated is the same thing or not
marine ply is a lot more expensive but better protection than ordinary ply when used in this setting

you can get outdoor fence paint in many styles these days they are designed to get wet on a regular basis, you can even get gloss finishes in all kinds of colours.
use hardwood as suggested above but if you cant be bothered using hardwood because you cant be bothered redoing the...

the only problem is i dont think the epoxy mixed with the paint will be runny enough to pour into the engraving unless i added it bit by bit but then it wont be flat like it would if i poured it.
