Hi all

Hope this is the best area to post.

We are having a shower put above the bath, in to a boxed out section to hide pipe work. The box section will be completely tiled. However I wanted to make use of the space in the boxing and fit a couple of shelves inside and fit a couple of doors to house all the (un)necessary bath products that her in doors want.
Wit this in mind, is it possible to make the cupboard shower resistant with some for of rubber seal, etc?

TIA

Sounds like too much hassle and liable to failure.
Gonna have to get your inventing cap on. Maybe utilising the seals used around shower cubicle doors.

Could you not tile the reveal and put in glass shelves with maybe a mirrored glass door. There would then no problems with water. Not 100% sure on which hinges to use off hand but a look around B&Q or the like would come up with something.

i would use safety glass in a shower and i would seal the wood first with outdoor varnish before applying the tiles if you are going down this route.

glass cabinets and showers might not be a good idea you could use marine ply for shelves then use outdoor fence paint its designed to get wet on a regular basis and you can get it in gloss/matt in a variety of colours.
