    Composite door surround

Thanks. There would be space for the new door and frame even if the wooden frame was left as the current door is quite wide. Is there any specific reason to attach it directly to the wall/bricks or is it just generally good practice? Thanks

    Composite door surround

Hi I’m looking to buy a composite door as my wooden door has seen better days and is starting to crack. I’m aware that the composite door will come in its own frame and so generally you would remove the existing wooden frame and fit the composite one to the brickwork. Is this absolutely...

    Shower arm issues

Hi we have just moved into a new house which has a shower arm coming out of the wall to a rainfall shower head. Having looked at it closely the arm is at a slight angle and is off the wall by about 5mm at the top but touching at the bottom, almost like the weight of the shower head is pulling it...

    Quick thermostat question

Thanks for this. I’ve just realised the salus rt300 is just a thermostat and not one with a programmer. Can you recommend a decent thermostat/ programmer as I would like to be able to set different temperatures for different times of the day through it. Thanks again

I will get a specialist in to have a look but with COVID at the moment I was wondering if anyone could give me an initial thought virtually...

Vinyl tiles over tiles with underfloor heating

I have recently moved into a house with a large area (about 59m squared) of tiles on top of a wet underfloor heating system. Half of the space is in the original house and so has wooden floor joists with (I presume) the pipes running between the joists somehow. The other half of the space is an...

    Kitchen spotlights

If i have replaced already the 12volt holders and transformers for individual spotlights and replaced with 230v gu10 bulbs (which from the sounds like might not have been the best thing) is the transformer required anymore?
