Brilliant. Thanks. I've got a Y piece arrivig today and can will nip to Screwfix for the McAlpine double. (I realsed my inital post & pictures were unclear and that the fact there was a washing machine already connected wasn't obvious)
Yes that's the washing machine pipe. Thats the normal place to fot the T connector?
And is this the drainage pipe that needs changing to the one in the link? Thanks for the help
Hi,
just wanted some instruction on where to install the water supply and the drainage hose. The images might not show the necessary bit. Washing machine is to the left.
Thanks
Our flatblock doors have an internal closing mechanism inside them. I think it is a Dorma RTS85 En3. The problem is that our door is only 625mm wide so the door is heavy to open - particularly for our 92 year old resident!
Is there an internal mechanism that would be better suited for out...
Hello, we have some condensation issues so wanted to get some ventillation installed. Which tradesperson would install them? We are in a first storey flat
Thanks?
Hello, our building front door is getting too heavy for a couple of our elderly residents.
Can it be made lighter by adjusting the internal mechanism? The is no overhead external arm
And is this relatively simple or do we need to call someone in? I contacted a Locksmth but he wasn't interested...
Thanks sonce again. Going out and observing the building I think you've cracked the main problem with the building. I can walk round each flat and observe damp under teh bullnose bricks - especially at corners. And under each window the pointing is damaged, but is fine on the walls without...
Thanks for your reply. All your points make perfect sense.
The building was put up in 1970 - and looking back at old google street view pictures the original windows didn't have extended drip sills either! Shame this wasn't corrected when the pvc ons were put in.
CWI holes - yes we are getting...
we have a damp problem in our flat - the main problem area seems to be around the windows of the bedroom and front room.
We are getting mould on our inside walls under the windows - particularly in the corners. Also on the ceiling above the window in the living room. Observing from the outside...
the window swings open very wide. I suspect the force of it swinging open and hitting the last notch has caused it to drop.
The handle isn't working either! So I took it off to see what was wrong. Figured I needed to sort out the drop first. Handle second
Thanks Notch, yes it is the mushrooms on the espags hitting the frame. Ok, first step I'll get some WD40 and give that a go. It is a bathroom window so moisture is a problem
Our window won't shut anymore. The metal locking mechanism hits the pvc outer window frame when trying to close the window.
Anyone know how ot fix this?
Thanks
