    Weird problem AEG 16840 WM

Hello, my AEG Electrolux washer dryer was not draining properly and was leaking water on the floor. I up-ended it and found the little manual drain hose had come away so I re fixed that. However, on trying to start a wash the door lock now continually clicks on and off and goes no further. It...

How to isolate Danfoss RAS C2

Hi, I need to isolate and replace a radiator. How do I isolate after removing the danfoss TRV? (I’m assuming I can’t just turn the TRV to off but need to remove it and do something to the valve underneath) I have isolated the tail valve at the other end of the the radiator. Thanks very much...

    Pressure relief valve to cylinder

Thanks I was wondering about that. Do you think I could have caused any danger by just turning the cold supply off and on and whooshing some water through the valve? That’s all I’ve done so far so hopefully that’s ok!

    Pressure relief valve to cylinder

Hello, on the feed pipe to my unvented electric hot water cylinder I have a Caleffi combined pressure reducing and pressure relief valve that is letting some water through constantly. I can hear it going to the overflow pipe. It’s easy to access and I can source the replacement part. I have read...

    Air in boiler

Hi all, Thanks for all the help so far. The heating system kept pressure nicely and the boiler was giving hot water so I drained it down a bit today to add inhibitor. Unfortunately even though there was no air but only water bleeding from rads and boiler, when I turned boiler on you could hear...

    New drain cock loose

Thanks. I put a smear of flux on the inside of the solder ring and probably a tiny smear on the pipe and gave them a twist. Hope that’s enough. PS. Yes it’s too late!

    Solder ring fittings- worries!

I wish I’d used compression joints now!! Thinking about it, if there are any leaks I can replace those joints with compression ones without the pipes being too dry I suppose.

    Solder ring fittings- worries!

Hello, just coming to the end of my project and am getting worried that I may have cocked up the soldering (solder ring fittings) and that on filling the system they will all leak!!! I just wanted to check some things please... 1. I noted from the FAQs that overheating of joints can be a common...

    New drain cock loose

    New drain cock loose

Thanks that was a swift reply. I was just thinking, some of the pipes fit much more loosely they aren’t all snug so I guess I’ll give it a go! And yes I had just thought about the rubber bits!! Many thanks.
